As I sit here, looking out my window at the rain, snow, ice, and wind, I know my husband and I made the right decision to have our house built by C&M Custom Builders. The quality of the materials and workmanship that they demonstrate is unmatched by others. So many of our family and friends have suffered damage to their homes throughout this horrendous winter and hurricane season, and we have been so fortunate as to having had none.

I am one to be thorough, as well as do my research, and after making the decision to move to Delaware from the Philadelphia area two years ago, I literally mapped out every builder within our price range, and visited their model homes. At that time, we believed that C&M was a bit out of our price range. When we decided to check out C&M, we found that their homes were actually more affordable than other builders. Those other builders would quote a low base price, however everything (and I mean everything) was additional, even things that absolutely should have been included. On the other hand, C&M set a base price, which included many extras, so you did not need to add many additional features.

C&M is truly a custom builder and has literally constructed our dream home. For that we are extremely grateful. Throughout the process, there was nothing that was unattainable. My husband and I would propose unique ideas, such as a screened in porch on the second floor, and Mark would make it happen! One other thing that was extremely special was that when I mentioned that my birthday was several weeks before our original settlement date, C&M worked diligently so that we were able to make settlement on my actual birthday, which was a gift that even my family could not top! We highly recommend C&M to anyone looking for a one-of-a-kind, beautiful, well-constructed home. We could not be happier!

We know many people who say they would rather buy an existing home than build a home because of the many problems that are normally associated with the building of a new home. We are happy to tell folks that we just had a splendid experience and would rather build then buy an existing home, if the home is built by the right contractor. I wish we had moved here sooner. My husband designed the house while Mark carefully looked over the plans so we would have exactly what we wanted. The building process went smoothly and the builders were superb. We also had custom built cherry cabinets installed as well as wall to wall bookcases installed in the study. The "Super" in charge of overseeing the construction became dear to us because of his careful, watchful eye. Mark called and came to see us during construction and after the house was completed. We consider both men to be our friends. The detailing inside is above and beyond our expectations. When something wasn't quite right after the guarantee, C&M worked with us and took care of it. Every worker was kind and friendly. Our praise is where praise is due!
